Due to the impending hurricane, the seniors tournament is postponed this weekend. New date is tbd.
The Green Valley Golf Association annually awards scholarships to two
senior students graduating from Portsmouth High School, having an
interest in golf. Last year, the Association funded a scholarship for
three High School Seniors. Receiving $800 each were Benjamin McGowan,
Michael Nardolilo and James Roggero.
The Charity Portsmouth Community Food Bank received $500 as the year
2020 recipient. In 2019 the charity was the POTTER LEAGUE, in 2018 the
recipient was LUCY’S HEARTH and in 2017 the recipient was VISITING
NURSE. There will be another deserving charitable organization that
the GVGA will donate to this year.
As part of the fundraising efforts for the Scholarship Fund, the Board
has designated the Labor Day Tournament, which will be held on Monday,
September 6th as the hosting event for the Scholarship Fund. The
Scholarship Committee asks member businesses as well as individual
members to support the Scholarship Fund by sponsoring a Tee Hole at a
cost of $50.00. Our goal this year is to raise at least $2,000 dollars
to support this important effort. A quick response is needed to
ensure the TEE SIGNS can be printed. Please respond by August 23.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
If you would like to sponsor a Hole, please fill out the application
below and return by August 23, 2021 to the PRO SHOP or by mail to
